A lease of faith
If the EV transport revolution is coming quicker than anyone expected, the infrastructure to support it, both public and private, will need a rapid upgrade! For block managers, the concerns will centre around whether a lease allows for such infrastructure changes and who will be liable for the costs.
Some points you will need to consider when planning your EV infrastructure
- The infrastructure
- Who pays
- All costs are assigned and charged to the end-user correctly
- Active & passive points
- Which bays do we utilise
- Multiple vehicle charging
- Power restrictions due to simultaneous load
- Back-end control
- Ongoing servicing & compliance testing
FUTURE PROOF YOUR SITE
Save money and lay the foundations. We can install both active and passive points. This means while we are installing designanted charge points, we can future proof your site, by laying the cabling to parking bays ready to install a chargepoint in the future without any disruption
A Legal Lifeline
Don’t worry about the legal requirements; we can assist here too: By partnering with legal industry specialists we hope to find a solution to help you overcome any installation obstructions
- Who owns the parking space?
- Who owns the supply?
- Does anyone have any exclusive right over any space?
- Does any leaseholder have rights that may be interfered with?
- Who’s going to meet the cost?
- How will the supply be paid for?
- How will the supply be recharged?
- Is this a service?
Seven of our most frequently asked questions
01 Where is the electricity coming from?
We connect to the landlord’s supply meaning no disruption to resident’s electrical supply.
02 Is there enough electrical capacity for these chargers?
For everyone to have a charger “No!” sadly not. However, 99% of installation do have spare capacity that we can utilise, this capacity will certainly serve any immediate demand, allowing the block to budget for future expansion whilst satisfying todays EV drivers
03 How do residents pay for their usage?
Just like parking in the street, you park up to your assigned bay or an open user you enter your details (via an app) and you select the amount of charge you require. Funds are withdrawn from the users account and the collected funds are paid into the service charge account.
04 Can visitors or contractors benefit
Not unless you have allowed access. The units are totally secure preventing any unauthorised misuse
05 What happens if multiple drivers arrive to charge at once
The system has an auto-load-balancing system to prevent overload. This means we can all plug in as we arrive home and the system will make sure the user is fully charged without overloading the circuits and blowing fuses.
06 Who manages the billing platform & adding/removing users?
Anyone can? We simply provide the training and a Property Manager or Resident Manager can simply manage the system. Or you can opt’ for us to manage this service for you for a small monthly fee.
07 Do you offer site surveys and demonstrations?
Of course. Why not take advantage today.
