Charge, pay, drive: EVs made easy
Fully-electric cars are the future. By 2035 the sale of petrol or hybrid vehicles will be banned in the U.K and electric vehicles are already becoming a more common sight on our roads. Responding to increasing demand for charging points, Future Fuel delivers a simple pay-as-you-go solution to the block management sector.
Are you eligible for the OLEV EVHS grant?
The OLEV grant allows you to reduce the cost of your homecharger. If you qualify for the grant, Future Fuel will take care of the claim on your behalf. The Checklist beow gives you a handy guide.
You have dedicated off-street parking.
Your plug-in vehicle was purchased after 1st October 2016.
You have not already claimed the grant for your vehicle.
If the EV transport revolution is coming quicker than anyone expected, the infrastructure to support it, both public and private, will need a rapid upgrade! For block managers, the concerns will centre around whether a lease allows for such infrastructure changes and who will be liable for the costs.
Some points you will need to consider when planning your EV infrastructure
All costs are assigned and charged to the end-user correctly
For everyone to have a charger “No!” sadly not. However, 99% of installation do have spare capacity that we can utilise, this capacity will certainly serve any immediate demand, allowing the block to budget for future expansion whilst satisfying todays EV drivers
Just like parking in the street, you park up to your assigned bay or an open user you enter your details (via an app) and you select the amount of charge you require. Funds are withdrawn from the users account and the collected funds are paid into the service charge account.
The system has an auto-load-balancing system to prevent overload. This means we can all plug in as we arrive home and the system will make sure the user is fully charged without overloading the circuits and blowing fuses.
